Sawai goes #digital- restaurant review

Keeping in sync with the digital india campaign, sawai is making great strides in the digital space. Having recently launched an app that enables you to easily order food from the restaurant, sawai combines the best of both traditional as well as modern day dining. Sawai outshines most restaurants in the dining space.

There are many places that serve you the regular fare of multi-cuisines- mexican, italian, indian, pav bhajis etc but only a few match up to the expectations. If you are expecting the regular family dining restaurant, with waiters running around, food in one hand , napkins in the other, tables crammed up and the place swarmed with people, you’ll be in for a surprise. This place is a tad different be it in terms of decor or the way food is ordered. Classy as it you will be greeted with a beautiful soothing ambience, greenery, artistically lit up structures and a beautiful ganesha idol. This place definitely cuts the mustard when it comes to adding a great vibe to the place. I was more than impressed by the calm surroundings- almost like i was dining in a garden. Thanks to the renovation the place has undergone. The waiters were technologically sound and each was provided with a tab.

Food: I started with some orange juice which was refreshing followed by karari roti which is a good option to snack on.

Other heavy duty starters included paneer jungi and thai paneer which very easily won me over. Thanks to the interesting preparation. The thai paneer was garnished with olives and the paneer balls were fried to the right crispness.

The paneer jungi was also a delicious start to the evening .

For the mains, paneer chakori was a great option. It was beautifully decorated- i could just stop and stare. As great as it looked it tasted good too.

Next up was the sawaimaharaja which had both sweet and slightly spicy bhaji. This is prepared with kaju masala and is perfect for those who like their dishes a little sweet. Did not tickle my taste buds but was Interesting nonetheless.

The thai fried rice was much like the schezwan rice, packed with thai spices et al.

And finally the goodnight mastani, it was the perfect finale to my food review, garnished with nuts and topped with ice cream. Who would not have liked such extravaganza.

The restaurant serves other great dishes on the menu also like cheese peas curry, pav bhaji, tandoori starters like paneer tikka, kathi roll kebab. Some great cuisines too-continental, chinese and thai are also on the menu. And not to forget, the huge list of mocktails, mastani , faludas and desserts. This extensive menu is sure to sweeten your evening.
More about the Sawai App: In keeping with the #app times, sawai has recently launched an app that allows you to order from the restaurant directly and avail a 10% discount too. And if you happen to pick your parcel from the restaurant yourself you get an additional 10% off! All in all a win win-situation!

In conclusion, I would only say- an evening at sawai calls for some good time with friends and family along with some great menu options to choose from without burning a hole in your pocket!
